Black Eye Games has announced that its signature MMORPG Gloria Victis has received its first significant update since its retail launch in February. Among a number of bug fixes and feature enhancements, players will also find a new world boss and the kick-off of a brand new Siege Mode PvP tournament.
The world boss is none other than the “mighty Werewolf.” The team believes that this character expands on the low-fantasy, medieval-inspired setting of the game but also provides a significant challenge for players. Groups looking for a chance to hunt the beast will be particularly pleased by the “precious alchemy components” that can be harvested from its body. However, developers warn of the Werewolf’s mechanics and the need for cooperative skills and speed to be successful.
But we also expanded the core aspect of the game, the mass PVP, with the addition of the Siege mode for the Valley of Death event. Like in the regular open-world sieges that happen daily in Gloria Victis, this massive PVP tournament will make all three factions clash and fight each other in the foggy city of Mudport. But this new mode includes using plenty of siege equipment and ladders and destroying buildings to break through to the heart of the castle, as well as capturing courtyards to face the enemies’ full might in the last epic brawl for the final flag!
In addition to these two massive features, a number of other things have been added:
- the Werewolf Hunters Contest
- a reworked mount aging system
- the new Berserk Skin Set
- new Lore collections
- server mergers, including Legacy Server merges
- quality of life updates
- bug fixes
The update notes on the Gloria Victis Steam page provide many other details, so be sure to swing by and check it out.
