Developer Blizzard Entertainment shared the exciting announcement: Hearthstone is in for a new expansion! Ready to giddy-up? It’s time for the Showdown in Badlands. The expansion will arrive on November 14th.
The evil Bloodrock Mining Company, run by the dastardly Sheriff Barrelbrim, have set up a ramshackle mining venture to drain Azeroth of its Azerite resources. Will the outlaws, led by the likes of Elise Starseeker, be able to save Azeroth from the sinister townsfolk that threaten to destroy the entirety of the Badlands? Grab your gun and head out there to make sure for yourself.
You can pre-purchase the expansion now to stake your claim on 145 brand new cards, including Legendary Outlaws, a new Keyword: Quickdraw, and a second new Keyword: Excavate!
- New Keyword: Quickdraw: Cards with the Quickdraw keyword get a bonus on the turn they are added to your hand. Shoot cards off as soon as you draw them for optimal outcome!
- New Keyword: Excavate: Every time you Excavate, you’ll get a random excavated treasure from whatever tier you’re on, then move to the next tier. After receiving a treasure from the last tier, that mine is tapped out and you’ll start over in a new vein.
- Legendary Excavate Treasures: Only the townsfolk will be able to obtain a class-specific Legendary Excavate Treasure when they Excavate for a fourth time – Death Knight, Mage, Rogue, Warlock, and Warrior.
- Legendary Outlaws. Demon Hunter, Druid, Hunter, Paladin, Priest, and Shaman are good-guy Outlaws. Each of these classes gets a powerful collectible Legendary outlaw minion that gets a bonus effect if you have no duplicates in your deck.
Upon login starting October 17, all players will receive the Legendary Thunderbringer, with Taunt and Deathrattle: Summon an Elemental and Beast from your deck. After Patch 28.6, Thunderbringer will be granted upon opening your first Showdown in the Badlands pack, instead of upon logging in.
