IO Interactive has some exciting news for Hitman 3 fans. On January 26, 2023, Hitman 3 will officially be renamed Hitman World of Assassination, including all three games in the critically-acclaimed series. Players will gain access to all three games via the Access Pass System. Players who own H3 will be given a free upgrade to World of Assassination on all platforms.
The reason for this flexibility is that we know many of you own certain games or DLCs but not others, and we don’t want to force anyone to (re)buy what they already own. We think that’s a good enough reason to still have a few options – but these options won’t be front and centre for new players. The idea is to keep these details visible to those who might need them.
For fans who have not yet dipped their toes into the series, IO also introduced a simplified purchasing option. From now going forward, all three games will be available through World of Assassination. Developers have revealed a possible $70 price point for the unified game that includes H3, H1 GOTY Access Pass, and H2 Standard Access Pass. However, this is subject to change.
