My Time at Sandrock Multiplayer Test Begins Next Week

My Time at Sandrock Multiplayer test -player plants crops

My Time at Sandrock multiplayer testing is set to open doors to all players on 12 January 2023.

Wild west adventurers get ready for multiplayer hijinks as Pathea Games opens its doors to all comers. After a successfully closed testing scheme, the upcoming frontier world will kick off an open beta testing phase next Thursday, 7PM PT | 10PM ET | 13 Jan 4AM CET – 20 Jan. While we might be busy hitting the books for the studio’s Let’s School, this is the perfect opportunity to try out something a little more interactive with friends.

My Time at Sandrcock’s open test is focused on trying out the title’s centerpiece multiplayer mode. Unlike solo questing, this take on the family-friendly life builder allows players to form teams of four and work towards a common goal in the oasis town of Sandrock. Using strategy, players can assign tasks, gather resources, craft items, and build houses together in the Builder plaza, striving to level up the city’s commerce and prosperity.

This portion of gameplay builds on the single player experience familiar to fans of My Time at Portia, but adds an extra challenge to activities. It allows newfound residents of Sandrock to craft common buildings and engage in commerce, while entering the town’s Meta area, set 50 years in the past and where town stories, familiar faces, and your own relationships can develop.
Putting a new and slightly historical twist on NPCs, mini games, and even character customization options, the multiplayer mode sounds like it will be way more than another pair of hands to the tools. So, whether you’re out to slay monsters on the edge of town or dig a well, this open beta looks like a great adventure all of its own.

Players looking to join the open test will need to pick up a copy of the Early Access title, so it’s an open test but not in the way you might be expecting. To Jump in, just head to your inventory on the 12 January and use the special equipment invented by Qi to enter the Meta area world. For the rest of us, My Time at Sandrock is available on Steam now at a 20% discount.

For those of you who I’ve not met yet, my name is Ed. After an early indoctrination into PC gaming, years adrift on the unwashed internet, running a successful guild, and testing video games, I turned my hand to writing about them. Now, you will find me squawking across a multitude of sites and even getting to play games now and then
