Fans of the Magic series will want to take note that Magic: Legends will be heading to open beta starting March 23rd. The action will take place for PC players via the Epic Games Store and will offer several in-game items to unlock for participating in OBT. Players can obtain the items from March 23rd to April 6th.
Here’s what can be unlocked via the Epic Planeswalker Starter Pack:
- a Moorland Ranger Costume
- Moorland Ranger Werewolf Summon Skin
- 2 drop boosts
The game is considered a “free-to-play, persistent world, action RPG that pays loving tribute to Wizards of the Coast’s celebrated strategy card game”.
Ancient forces move in the darkness, requiring players to assume the role of a Planeswalker, powerful spellcasters who can travel between worlds. While exploring different planes, players will collect mana-based spells and strategically build out the perfect deck of balanced attacks to control the chaos of the battlefield and save the Multiverse from its greatest threat yet. Developed by Cryptic Studios and published by Perfect World Entertainment, Magic: Legends will release on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in 2021.
Players will also be able to take part in open beta testing on PC via the Arc platform, the proprietary launch for Perfect World Entertainment.
