Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Trailer Reveals a Stunning Narrative Adventure

Skydance New Media, a new studio helmed by Amy Hennig, and Marvel Games have released a stunning new trailer for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. The cinematic extravaganza reveals a gorgeously rendered WW2-era Paris and four playable characters. The trailer further reveals its core cast, including Captain America, Black Panther, Nanali, a Wakandan spy, and Gabriel Jones, a US soldier and member of the Howling Commandos. Captain America and Black Panther aren’t exactly pals as they each work towards the defeat of Hydra. The trailer reveals a key scene illustrating that point. The game is targeting a 2025 release date.

Fans familiar with Marvel’s comics, films, and television series will see its indelible mark on gameplay with plenty of jumping, spinning, throwing, smacking action. Built with Unreal Engine 5, the video is a cinematic experience.

Khary Payton anchors the core cast as Azzuri, a WW2-era Black Panther; Drew Moerlein as Steve Rogers/Captain America; Megalyn Echikunwoke as Nanali, a Wakandan spy embedded in Occupied Paris; and Marque Richardson as Gabriel Jones. Lyne Renee plays Julie, a French Resistance ally and Joel Johnstone takes on the role of Howard Stark.

Grammy Award-winning composer Stephen Barton scores the game’s OST. His work includes Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Star Trek Picard, Apex Legends, Titanfall, and 12 Monkeys.
