Independent developer Big Blue Sky Games revealed its debut project Merchants of Rosewall. Coming to PC via Steam later this year, Merchants of Rosewall is a story-driven shopkeeper simulation with innovative progression tracking. There are many unusual characters with distinct backgrounds, personalities and ambitions.
“Manage your shop by hiring giants, elves, orcs, and more from different walks of life. Lose yourself in the rich narrative of a fantasy world like no other, and maybe even unravel a mystery of the past. What will you create in Merchants of Rosewall?”
Players will be able to take part in side quests and participate in a vibrant, fully-shared online economy in cooperation or competition with their friends. Help improve their companions, shop capabilities and efficiencies, or prove that there can be only one master shopkeeper in this game. Keep up with the trends, discover recipes and forge relationships with artisans and other specialists, all to keep your business growing.
“At Big Blue Sky Games, we want to create games that feel easy to pick-up-and-play, with narratives that players haven’t seen considered in other games,” said Kevin Hovdestad, game director at Big Blue Sky Games. “With Merchants of Rosewall, we’re challenging stereotypes and conventions in the fantasy genre; we’re inviting players into an imaginative universe that breaks away from cliches and lets players experience real world issues through nuanced storytelling and complex conversations. We are excited for players to get their hands on the game later this year.”
