Minecraft Legends Launches After Four Years in Development

Mojang and Blackbird Interactive have announced that Minecraft Legends is now available on multiple systems. These include PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam, Windows 10/11, PC Game Pass, Xbox Game Pass, and Xbox Cloud Gaming). Players can also check it out on certain Samsung Smart TVs via the Gaming Hub without needing a console.

Developers released an all-new trailer that showcases locations, characters, and features to celebrate the momentous occasion.

You play as a brave hero, uniting the inhabitants of the Overworld to fight off a devastating piglin invasion. Nether portals have appeared all over the once-peaceful Overworld, bringing piglins and spreading netherrack, and it’s up to you to lead the charge and destroy them before the corruption covers everything! In this game, mobs that you would typically fight or avoid in the original Minecraft will become your friends and fight alongside you. The story is one that’s been passed down through time in the Overworld, so who’s to say whether it’s real or not? The truth is nobody can, so it’s up to you to discover it and craft your own theories!

Features Include

  • Unite the Overworld
  • Take part in epic battles to defend the Overworld from the piglin invasion
  • Travel across a lush, dynamic world that’s rich in resources and changes with each playthrough
  • Take part in multiplayer action. Challenge friends or team up for intense battles to defend your village
