Developed by Toadman Studios and published by Sold Out, Minimal Affect is a story-driven space adventure that leads players to command a colorful cast of diverse characters on a quest to save the galaxy and make fun of other sci-fi franchises. Guide your team, meet new characters, learn new skills, explore side quests and generally do everything you’d expect to do in a third-person action RPG, all set in a vibrant, stylish world that feels like playing a cartoon.
Command a crew of questionably capable, likely insane, yet undeniably charming cadets on their haphazard travels across the Milky Way. Enjoy immensely satisfying 3rd person combat and narrative choice that’s overflowing with humor, as well as technically legal obscenities you won’t find in any other video game – especially after the ESRB hears about this one! And remember: In space, nobody can spell your name.
Your crew consists of:
- Commander Creed: Charming, capable, heroic. These were words to describe the famous Commander Creed, before his face suffered a close encounter with a bullet. It’s true what they say; getting shot in the head changes a man. In his heart of hearts he knows he’s still the hero the galaxy needs, but it’ll take some convincing to get the Star Alliance onboard.
- Larry: Being the Balding Eagle’s longest serving crew member, the ship’s engineer Larry has got some stories to tell. Uninteresting, excruciatingly long and boring stories. Nobody likes Larry.
- Redshirt: Redshirt hangs around the ship and pokes at his pocket computer, doing who knows what. Redshirt insists that his name is actually Wesley and that he’s an essential part of the crew. He has yet to convince any of the other crew members.
- K’iara: Born and raised by an ancient forgotten race, K’iara joined the crew in search for vengeance, adventure and something to do. While capable and strong, her knowledge of the civilized world is somewhat lacking. She can turn a man inside-out with her mind but can’t figure out how to use the mess hall coffee machine.
