Moonglow Bay Sails Onto Screens

Coatsink, the studio behind Phogs, announced Moonglow Bay at last week’s ID@Xbox event.

Summer’s here and that means getting away from it all, or at least it would normally. This time we’re setting our sights on Coatsink’s new Moonglow Bay, a cute new island adventure from the same publisher that took us for walkies with the Phogs not too long ago. Announced at last week’s ID@Xbox event, the beautiful slice of life experience is set to land on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One Consoles, Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC & Steam in 2021.

Anybody grabbing a boat out to Moonglow Bay will be heading off controller first to the Canadian coastline. Once the jewel of this part of the world, Moonglow Bay is home to rumors of dangerous and fantastic creatures that scared off the fishes. Now, with the town suffering from a lack of local trade you go controller first to set up shop and revive the town. Yes, it’s a lot like traditional Story of Seasons scenarios, but this one is still just as charming.

While you’re there, there is plenty to do in Moonglow Bay. Once you get to know the locals, you can follow your heart with a range of distinct story arcs, or just go fish. With over 100 sea bound creatures to discover you’ll be able to catch to your heart’s content; cook and sell the catch; learn new recipes; upgrade your equipment, rods, and fishing boat; learn to cast nets, set traps and fish through ice; and more.

Combining a pretty voxel art style, a brilliant soundtrack, and tons of activities Moonglow Bay looks set to be a great summer getaway. You can check out more about our trip to Canada over on the official website now, or take a look at the teaser trailer above.
