Ndemic Creations has shared the big news that its strategy Plague Inc reached a milestone of 100 million players. In addition, the developers have shared the cheery news that those same players wiped the face of Earth 1.5 billion times.
Plague Inc’s creator James Vaughan stated:
It’s been an incredible experience building something that so many people are enjoying,” says Plague Inc.’s creator James Vaughan. “To see the game that I made reach over 1.3% of the whole world’s population is deeply humbling, and I’m so grateful to all the players for their support.
Plague Inc has first launched on the mobile devices but has since infected PC, PlayStation 4 as well as Xbox One with Plague Inc: Evolved. Even tabletops are not immune as there is Plague Inc the board game. You can find out more about the game on the Steam page.
As an interesting side note, the developers from Ndemic Creations were invited to the US CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) to speak about infection models.
