Square Enix has published a new blog post, sent out a new trailer, and revealed some new screenshots from Octopath Traveler II. Eager fans will meet some new characters and learn more about traversal across the game world.




The trailer introduces viewers to a pair of new characters. The merchant Partitio is a folksy fellow who wants to make the world a better place. He can make purchases for the group and hire others to travel with him. Conversely, the scholar Osvald is a salty ex-con convicted of murdering his wife. He is adept at scrutinizing townsfolk for information. He can also mug people to steal their belongings by force. Quite a friendly guy.

The blog offers readers a peek into the world of Solistia and its denizens. It provides more details about Partitio and Osvald as well, detailing their particular abilities and what they bring to the group.

OP2 is targeting launch on February 24, 2022 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
