The creators of MMORPG Phantasy Star Online 2 have announced that the PC version of the game will be coming to Steam on August 5th. To celebrate the occasion, the team prepared special quests that would grant unique Valve-themed rewards such as cosmetics related to Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Half-Life Alyx, Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress and more.
The game will be available in Steam for 35 regions. The full list includes Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Columbia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, United States.
The next major Phantasy Star Online 2 update, Episode 4, is coming on August 5th as well. In Episode 4, players will wake from a long sleep to discover an invasion of “face ARKS members” and a brand new enemy called The Phantom. In addition, “a new planet has been discovered in another dimension — Earth”. The new content comes along with an increased level cap and new locations to explore including Las Vegas and Tokyo. Players will be working to solve the mystery of the black shadow and to defeat what are being called the “most powerful enemies encountered” in the game so far.
In other related news, the developers have also recently announced and detailed Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis – a brand new title in the PSO2 series. Set one thousand years after the events of PSO2, embark on the ultimate experience by exploring vast open fields and an unparalleled action combat system!
