A third person action adventure, this brand new take on the iconic fictional land mass lets players become Kong. Rather than sneak through the undergrowth as a simple human visitor, this take on Kong finds the titular ape towering over the locals as it embarks on a journey of vengeance. The saurian terror Gaw is the target of your wrath in this encounter. Seeking revenge for the death of Kong’s parents, players will guide the filmstar across the island, into mysterious cavern and unexplored regions. Of course, this means a wealth of dangerous beasts, and unique adversaries await in among the gorgeous backdrops. Battling the obstacles to your quest means changing together devastating combos to dominate Gaw’s ferocious minions and unleash your rage to heighten the impact of your attacks.
This mix of action melee combat and exploration is largely inspired by Joe DeVito’s creative work. Taking the original King Kong concept and expanding it to include this iconic location left fans of big screen monster movies with tons of lore to explore. With everything from the illustrated books to big screen adaptations already available, this seems like a perfect addition to the Skull Island mythos.
