Team17 and Super Mega Team announced The Knight Witch, a metroidvania adventure game with fast-paced, shoot ’em up combat set in a beautifully hand-drawn world. Wield magic and use weapons against the forces of evil and control the battlefield to take down incredible foes. The game is expected to arrive later in 2022 on PC, Switch, PlayStation and Xbox. The once peaceful underground city of Dungeonidas is besieged by a mysterious threat, and it is up to players and The Knight Witch Rayne to use their powers to driven them back. According to the developers, the game combines fast-paced shoot ‘em up combat, Metroidvania traversal and exploration, as well as magic deckbuilding for a unique gameplay cocktail. The game features over 30 spell cards to choose from as well as Knight abilities to upgrade and improve.
As you journey across Dungeonidas, your heroic deeds and efforts will be seen and discussed by the citizenry. Knight Witches become stronger with gratitude and trust and they can earn it in many different ways, however, not all methods are sincere. Will you do anything to gain popularity, or will you try and stay honest? The choice is in your hands.
