Standing Stone Games has announced that The Lord of the Rings Online has received the Carn Dûm update. The latest addition to the beloved MMORPG brings players a host of new content to explore and new items to unlock. In addition, the Last Homely House has gotten a much-needed visual update.
After suffering countless setbacks and defeats, the last remnants of the Iron Crown have returned to Carn Dûm, hoping to wield a lost artifact of the Witch-king of Angmar to win dominion over the Free Peoples of Middle-earth. Aid the Hill-men of the North and their allies in the fight to cast off the Iron Crown once and for all!
Players will have a host of new content to check out including:
- a new Carn Dûm Raid for level 140 players
- Small Fellowship:
- Sant Lhoer, the Poison Gardens – (Available for tiers 1-3)
- Thaurisgar, the Vile Apothecary – (Available for tiers 1-3)
- Fellowship:
- Sagroth, Lair of Vermin – (Available for tiers 1-3)
- Raid (COMING SOON):
- Gwathrenost, the Witch-king’s Citadel
In addition to the new content, a number of other updates were deployed, including trait points being reset for Captains, Hunters, and Wardens thanks to significant updates to each class. All other classes have received some significant updates as well. Other features touched on in the latest update include Crafting, Damage, Delvings, Items, Monster Play, Power, Quests/Instances, and other “general” items. Players can also expect each of these to include quality of life improvements and more.
