Noclip’s Danny O’Dwyer had a chance to sit down with Brian Mitsoda (Narrative Lead, Hardsuit Labs) and Christian Schlütter (Lead Producer, Paradox Interactive) to talk about the two studios collaborated to bring this 2004 cult classic out of retirement.
The developers have discussed how important the original Bloodlines was, and how they found themselves making a sequel to a game that released on the same day as Half-Life 2 and was largely overlooked, 15 years later.
The team of under 20 people developed the original Bloodlines in about a year and a half but the game was still half-baked due to the contentious relationship between the devs and their publisher Activision.
