Dragon’s Crown Pro on the PS4 Review

The dungeon crawler Dragon’s Crown Pro has returned with its newly updated 4k Compatible version. It is a game that makes you choose a primary character and help out people in the world, and as you are helping these people you complete quests as well as find bones who you can then resurrect, which gives you more people to be on your team. You can go to different locations in town to rest and buy weapons and all the things you will need for your journey. This is our review of Dragon’s Crown Pro on the PS4.

While we explore the world, it is easy to see why people liked this game originally, the graphics for its PlayStation 3 time were good and the story is good enough to keep you coming back to it. It is a 2D sidescrolling Roleplaying game that will give you hours of enjoyment as you hack and slash your way through the countless dungeons. The variation in weapons, armor, and items gives you a lot of leeway to play the game how you want to.

There are many cool characters in this game and the animations for them are even better. The characters are as follows:

  • Fighter
  • Amazon
  • Wizard
  • Elf
  • Dwarf
  • Sorceress

In this game, I have fallen in love with the Elf character. The Legolas aspect of the Elf has given me a good feel for the character. Using the bow from long range and attacking with the bow short range is awesome as well. You also get better weapons as you level up and this allows your Elf to become even more awesome than before.

Dragon's Crown Pro

Like most role-playing games, Dragon’s Crown Pro has a town which you can travel through unlocking different points of interest in order to buy weapons and other items that you will need for your journey. There is even a location to take dead bones to be able to bring them back to life as companions for your main character. The map is straightforward and you run back and forth doing what you have to do, and then all you have to do is go to whichever entrance for the building or street that you need to. You will be doing this and dungeon crawling, and just trying to destroy all of the beasts and monsters that are looking to defeat you.

The journey which you will embark on is one fraught with danger, however, with great danger comes great reward as you will discover weapons, armor, and other trinkets for sale or use later on in the game. This will be why you continue to crawl through those dungeons. Your main goal is to save the world, and that is exactly what you will do when you get into this game.

Developed by Vanillaware and Atlus, Dragon’s Crown Pro has the promise to be one of the best role-playing games I have played in years, including Final Fantasy games. If you would like to get your hands on this great game, it comes out live on May 15, 2018, and is set to be released at 49.99 USD.

This game was reviewed on PlayStation 4 with a code provided by PR.
