There’s plenty of industrial grade violence coming to PC today as Radio Viscera arrives on Steam.
Indie developer Fireface and Alliance Games are inviting players to put down the AK and pick up a whumper blaster as Radio Viscera launches on Steam today. Out now, the top-down bulletless shooter is something of a simple narrative but the team behind this chaotic adventure are clearly hooding that some frantic shooting and a rather unusual set of circumstances will work to keep us all grinding our way through this punishing new title.
Set among the industrial factory floor of a Y2k cult, this new title throws players into the middle of a poorly formed escape plan, with nothing but a highly pressurised air gun at their disposal. Thankfully, that all seems to work out quite well when you take a look at the trailers for Radio Viscera. Anybody attempting escape from this somewhat unsettling compound will need to clear the way, blowing through walls and dusting off cult cretins with a newly acquired airgun and some seriously misjudged environmental hazards. I mean, who installs a giant meat grinder on every other wall?
As victory, and the Cult’s leader, comes ever closer, players will find themselves causing creative mayhem, dismembering enemies, and generally knocking an increasingly frantic cult around. It’s not all about gruesome bloody revenge, however. Radio Viscera scores your runs, meaning style is as important as substance. You’ll even be able to share the best runs with an in game GIF capture option too. Should this game of brutalise the cult members get old, then Radio Viscera also has a bunch of extra outfits, accessories and mutators available to keep things from getting too normal.
Radio Viscera is full of chaotic energy and after I fell head over heels for My Friend Pedro, I’m pretty sure that I’m going to join the cult of Radio Viscera. You can find out more about Radio Viscera over at the official Steam Store page and pick it up for $19.99/£15.49/€16,79, with an extra 20% off during launch.
