During this past weekend’s D23 Expo 2017, Square Enix revealed a brand new Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer. It features over five minutes of game play action and the new Toy Story world.
That’s right, Woody, Buzz & Toy Story are part of it all!
The trailer shows off new content for KH3 that’s coming in 2018. The Toy Story world, as expected, features characters including Buzz Lightyear and Woody. Hamm the piggy bank and Rex the dinosaur show up as well as Organization XIII, the main antagonists in the game.
The video shows Sora, Goofy and Donald chatting with Buzz and Woody about the “Heartless” problem. Later, the video shows them outside and in a toy store. The combat even includes Sora fighting in a new way after jumping into a mech action figure.
According to Polygon, the story for KH3 is an original and isn’t based on anything seen in the movies.
