War Robots: Frontiers is Free to Play All Weekend

War Robots: Frontiers Free Play Weekend

My.Games and Pixonic have announced that a free play weekend has kicked off on PC for War Robots: Frontiers. Mech shooter fans can get started playing starting today and keep up the action through April 24th. The game is available to download and play through the MGLauncher or Steam. In addition, developers are offering a sweet 33% discount on early access packages throughout the free weekend.

A new story trailer shows the journey of APPM-3TR (App-mee-tah), who will become players’ mentor and guide through the Wild Ten star system in future updates.

The big announcement was made during a live show celebrating the 9th anniversary of the franchise that originally started as a mobile game. With over 200 million registered users, it remains one of the most popular tactical mobile shooters ever created. Developers are keen to bring tiny action to life on larger screens with Frontiers. Players will enjoy 6v6 robot third-person mech shooter action gained through tactical gameplay.

Frontiers will bring players to a new star system 200 years into the future. Savvy players will recognize a familiar character from the original game.  Where the original game was a war for domination of Earth, Frontiers sees players as players take the role of Robot Pilots trying to earn their keep while fighting for control of the Wild Ten. Megacorporations have set their sights on these unclaimed planets, and Pilots will need their patronage to secure their livelihoods.

The good news is that all progress made during the free-play weekend will be carried over. Experience gains and items unlocked will remain on a player’s account.
