Will Your Computer Survive These Elden Ring PC Specifications?

PCs prepare to die as Elden Ring drops a list of specifications for your rig.

From Software and Bandai Namco have just released the full PC specifications for the upcoming fantasy epic Elden Ring. While we already expected a little slice of Souls style pain in game, it appears that the team behind this title might be trying to kill some elder rigs too.

The announcement dropped today over on social media and can be viewed below. While the operating system requirement probably isn’t going to be much of an issue, with the previous Windows 7 having gone end of life last year, the rest of the specifications might look a bit close to the bone for some of us. Anybody who was holding out on an older mid tier card might feel the need to pull the trigger now that the Nvidia GTX 1060 and AMD RX 580 are the bottom of the line for minimum specification graphics cards. This is also compounded by the need for a sizeable 12GB of Ram as a bare minimum. Add onto that the OS and other applications and even anybody clocking up the recommended 16GB of RAM might be sweating things. Still, if you were lucky enough to grab a current generation GPU and an adequate amount of memory then the upcoming Elden Ring is likely to shine on your PC.

For those who haven’t got ridiculous money to throw around, Elden Ring will also bring this mysterious role playing experience to PlayStation 4 Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X, meaning consoles. Even if you don’t have the most up to date hardware, Elden Ring looks likely to be a captivating experience when it launches later this month, with material from George R.R. Martin and direction by Hidetaka Miyazaki. Just don’t get caught staring at the gorgeous backdrops or you’re likely to be as dead as a Pentium II trying to run Crysis. 1. Skirting the “barely survive” there with my good ol’ war machine

    • thank goodness for a sneaky 3070 FE buy last year. I think 12GB is where the console option starts looking mighty tempting

      • No kidding, at this point it’s more financially sound for me to buy Xbox Series X and subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate than to try updating my PC haha

        • you should! Join us in the Xbox horde!
