WoW Dragonflight Is Getting Battle Pass Like Trading Post System

Developer Blizzard Entertainment has taken to the official site of MMORPG World of Warcraft: Dragonflight to introduce a new feature coming to the PTR soon. Acting as WoW’s take on Battle Pass system, the Trading Post will allow players to accumulate currency by participating in specific activities and use it to purchase unique monthly items: pets, mounts, transmog & more!

The Trading Post representatives will bring their wares to the Horde’s and the Alliance’s capital cities of Orgrimmar and Stormwind respectively. You can visit their stores to see the monthly offerings for yourself: there will be transmogs on mannequins, pets at their feet, and mounts secured in their stable. Speak to the traders to see this month’s wares.

“There are a multitude of interesting transmog, pet, and mount possibilities in Azeroth, limited only by imagination. The Trading Post will serve as a home for many more items from across Azeroth— and beyond—and is not limited by the current game content. You can expect to see a variety of fun new items to add to your collection.”

How It Works

To obtain these unique cosmetic items, you will need to acquire a new account-wide currency called “Trader’s Tender.” This can be earned in two ways:

  • Automatically each month: Just by logging in and heading to the Trading Post, you can collect 500 Trader’s Tender every month from a chest called the Collector’s Cache.
  • By completing monthly activities in the Traveler’s Log: A monthly set of activities provides the opportunity to earn up to 500 additional Trader’s Tender.
