CD Projekt Red has great news for fans looking for a more immersive gameplay experience in Cyberpunk 2077. When the free patch v2.1 launches, players will find a “city-wide fully functional NCART metro system giving players a more relaxed way of getting about the most dangerous megalopolis of the dark future – and taking in the beautiful views along the way.” The new metro will feature five lines and nineteen stations. While this system anchors v2.1, it’s hardly the only thing coming on December 5th when the patch launches.
The metro system offers players an alternative travel system. Now, everyone can choose whether to ride the rails – a slower but more scenic method of travel. Or they can continue to use the fast travel system that immediately jets them from one location to another. Interestingly, even while on the train, players can opt for fast travel if they get anxious about reaching their destination ASAP.
Other v2.1 features
- The Radioport music player allows players to listen to any one of the radio stations, even when not in a vehicle.
- New hangouts for trysts with romantic partners, including V’s apartment.
- Additional chases and replayable car races. These will see players earn rewards and discounts on the Autofixer website.
- Improvements to boss fights that include better AI and new equipment.
- The Porsche 911 Cabriolet and new motorcycles
- Upgraded motorcycle handling and new riding mechanics
- New secrets to discover
- Technical improvements and new accessibility features
The patch will launch on December 5th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It is a free game update for all owners of the game and for those who purchase the Ultimate edition (base game + Phantom Liberty expansion).
