Alaskan Road Truckers Gameplay Shows Its More than a Simulator

At this past weekend’s Future Games Show, Green Man Gaming and Movie Games S.A. showed off gameplay from Alaskan Road Truckers. The video offers a peek into how the game gives players more than a simulated trucking experience. In fact, their tagline is “Be a trucker, not a truck.” The action allows players to operate their 18-wheeler from a first-person or a third-person perspective.

The game is being prepped for a fall 2023 release. It will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. Players will take on the role of a long haul trucker in Alaska. They’ll need to deal with their life inside and outside of their vehicle. They’ll deliver cargo, build a business, and have a chance to get out of the truck to explore Alaska. Along the way, players will need to maintain and improve their vehicles.

Features include

  • Pick your route across diverse road conditions
  • Expand and customize your truck collection
  • Take on different jobs with a huge variety of cargo types
  • Maintain your truck to keep it on the road
  • Upgrade your HQ and manage your business
  • Visit stores and gas stations to pick up essential purchases and fuel
  • Leave your cab to explore scenic landmarks and soak up the atmosphere
