Apico Update 3.0 Adds Underwater Bees

Apico announced a new school of adorable bumbles with new What Lies Beneath content.

Bee prepared for an unexpected update for bee keeping sim Apico. Developer TNgineers and publisher Whitethorn Games just announced Update 3.0: What Lies Beneath will take the title into underwater gardens when it arrives on 26 September. Due to fly onto Pc screens in short order, the update will add crystal blue ocean waters where players can explore and complete tons of new quests.

In the latest update, coming just after the recent Update 2.0: I Can’t Beelieve It’s Not Butter(flies), players will be able to go out into the ocean, dive deep, and discover a new bee-ome. New areas filled with deep-sea flora and fauna, a coral reef system, and more await. The new flowery friends mean new bee species to acquire and breed. By harnessing these new species you’ll even be able to help generate a healthy coral system and let life flourish on the ocean floor. With new questlines tied to this environmental aim and a brand new fishing mechanic, the third update to Apico looks likely to be a great reason to get in the sea.

Players who haven’t picked up this conservation styled sim will find it bumbling about on PC via Steam, Epic Game Store, Humble Games, itch.io, Utomik, PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch™, and Xbox One and Series S|X for $19.99 USD. With a cute aesthetic, a chill soundtrack, and donations heading to bee conservation, there’s no reason not to check out more on the official website.
