Kakao Games and XLGAMES have announced that their signature MMO ArcheAge: Unchained will receive a new fresh start server in early February. This new server follows the successful launch of the first “fresh start” server earlier this month. Fresh start servers allow players to begin with a clean slate with all players on an equal footing from the get-go. Players cannot transfer existing characters from other servers but must begin from square one. The new server is set to open on February 9th, alongside a host of improvements to the server based on user feedback from the earlier iteration.
Players who opt to check out the new server can leverage a number of bonuses to assist them in leveling new characters. These include:
- basic boosting buffs for XP
- boosting buffs for Conflict, War, Siege, Quest Honor Points, and Vocation
- a 300% increased loot drop rate
- loot drop rates are applied to gear through Disciple equipment
- Double Weekly Quest Events will expand to aid in the progression of Hiram and Disciple gear
Free server transfer tickets will also be up for grabs for any players who participate in the existing Fresh Start Server (one per account), with a further offering of graduation rewards, including Bound Lucent Serendipity Stones and Akasch Token Crates for those who successfully transfer their characters to other servers. These will be distributed once the server closes. An operating schedule detailing specific boosting and events will be shared as a separate announcement at a later date.
Developers are also offering players an adorable gift for subscribing to the AA:U newsletter. Those who subscribe to the Kakao newsletter before February 9th will receive the Cute Malamute Battle Pet for the effort.
