Are You Prepared To Roll The Dice on Armello: The Board Game

Armello: The Board Game

Armello: The Board Game is already funded during its first day on Kickstarter.

League of Geeks is brining Armello back to the tabletop, with a new way to play. Taking the idea of multiplayer in a very different direction, the team behind the critically acclaimed video game has launched a board game Kickstarter. Taking the theme, presentation, and rules behind the digital version and translating it into the real world does require cash, however. Thankfully the new Kickstarter for this idea is already fully funded. As of right ow, the Kickstarter page shows around $60,000 of the initial $20,000 target reached.

For those of you that don’t know why a table full of plastic mice and brightly colored bunnies would generate so much excitement, a great adventure awaits you. The King of Armello, a big ‘old lion, has fallen into madness. It’s up to the clans of this continent to band together and claim the throne. Between 2-4 players will roll the dice and make their way across a board. Along the way, you’ll choose your path, complete quests, picking up followers, enter dungeons, gather treasures, and obtain powerful objects to aid you in your quest to overthrow the King.

Anybody ready to face the bandits again can pledge $79 for the base game and all the applicable stretch goals. The top tier ‘Everything Armello’ box comes in at $150 for the Collector’s Edition, fancy dice, pins, and an alternate card option.

While backing any crowd funding campaign is always a risk, the people behind this come with a pedigree that includes the original video game, D&D, WOTC, MTG, and more. It’s fully funded and worth a look if you want a game that can entertain a wide range of players for an evening. Find out more about the Kickstarter and the game that started it all now.
