The Steam Awards 2023 dished out the accolades last night and Baldur’s Gate 3 is just on of the hot picks.
As if we hadn’t expected it, Baldur’s Gate 3 swept another host of awards. Larian Studio’s latest fantasy epic scooped Game of the Year in the Steam Awards 2023. The annual online honors dished out a clutch of titles to a variety of games last night, all thanks to community voting. The consumer driven gongs also handed a second award to the enthralling RPG, as the winner of the Outstanding Story category.
This is hardly the first award the team at Larian have had to clear shelf space for. The D&D campaign caught a total of six statues at the Game Awards 2023, and a plethora of other wins across the year. Reviews still sit at a stunning 99% over on OpenCritic, and Steam feedback is equally positive. After returning to the Forgotten Realms earlier this year, the third instalment ion the Baldur’s Gate series thrilled fans of the genre. Whether you’re thirsty for a bit of swooning romance or just want to kill all your companions, this RPG unlocks an incredible breadth of options for adventurers.
Other winners included some unlikely names. Starfield, despite a varied critical reception, won the Most Innovative Gameplay category, while Red Dead Redemption II continues to hang on in player’s hearts with the Labor of Love Award.
