Bladed Fury is taking a leap from its PC roots and launching onto Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch consoles.
Available now, and some time, after it originally landed on Steam, the new console launch of PM Studio’s action platformer has been a long time coming. The 2018 debut of Bladed fury introduced gamers to a dynamic 2D action adventure set in ancient China. Taking control of a princess in the old world, players won’t ever be waiting for events to unfold. Instead, Bladed Fury slices its way through a mix of Chinese history, mythology, and a dash of surrealism.
Across a range of levels and some pretty big looking boss fights, you’ll take on your families enemies using a fluid combat experience and style that’s easy to learn but difficult to master. In order to overcome the more stubborn problems that stand in the way of justice, the princess can wield the power of the Silver Souls. PM Studios describe this as a unique system that “adds depth and changes the pace, making combat more exciting.”
Published by Next Studios, the team that brought out the adorable Biped, Bladed Fury will set players back $19.99 if they pick it up on the Microsoft Store, PlayStation Store, and Nintendo eShop. Anybody lucky enough to get out and about might find physical pre orders are still available, with all launch copies of the game getting a bundled voucher code for the in game digital soundtrack. Bladed Fury’s console launch is a port of a classic 2D action game, based on Chinese mythology with an accompanying traditional art style and sound design. While it might seem like it’s taken an age to get here, it certainly is worth a look. Check out the trailer for Bladed Fury above and check out more over at the official Bladed Fury website now.
