There is no doubt that Valentine’s Day is in the air, with romance even blossoming in Pugstorm‘s mining sandbox adventure game, Core Keeper. Not only will players get to check out brand-new seasonal content that celebrates the glory of love, but they will also find many technical improvements in the new update.
The Quality of Love update begins with a host of seasonal content that will run from now through February 28th. Players are charged with collecting love letters. The Seasonal Merchant is offering a Valentine’s Crafting Table that unlocks a range of Valentine’s items. These include the Cupid Bow, the alluring Cupid Tunic, a Valentine’s Ring, Valentine’s Candles, a heart-shaped rug, and the Love health potion.
Those looking for more permanent content will want to learn to play the new musical instruments. Players can craft and play the ocarina, harp, flute, and cello. Along the way, they can compose their own unique tunes and start an epic solo career or get together with friends to form a band. Sheet music is scattered throughout the game and can be collected to input into special music stands. These magical stands will automatically play looping melodies.
Permanent features added in Quality of Love
- musical instruments, sheet music, music stands
- the Magic Mirror allows player customization at any time
- the Loom Workbench to craft new wearables like the Explorer’s Hat and Wedding Dress
- new character customization options, including new hairstyles and clothing colors
- the ability to equip characters with multiple equipment presets
Lastly, players will notice a number of visual improvements to the game that bring big changes to lighting and shadows. Developers have introduced a new rendering pipeline that will improve the overall look of the game.
