“Omnics suppress any resistance, spreading darkness across the globe, while the Overwatch team clings to hope in the form of one unique individual.“
With the release of part three, Genesis animated series is now complete. If you want to learn more about the Omnic Crisis as well as the “God Program” Anubis, Aurora and doctor Mina Liao, you can do so through th Overwatch 2: Sojourn, the third OW novel. An audiobook version exists, read by Cherise Boothe. Short stories and comics such as Overwatch: Stone by Stone and animated shorts such as “Honor and Glory” also give a glimpse of what was happening during the period.
The conflict between organics and Omnics has been one of the main storylines of Overwatch for years. It affected the lives of many playable characters as well as entire organizations and countries at once. Much like humans, Omnics are not united in their outlook on organic life. There are peacemakers such as Zenyatta and Mondatta, as well as militant groups such as the Null Sector led by Ramattra.
