The rumor mill around any Blizzard title is always a fun place to spend some time, but Diablo IV seems to garner even more than most. While Blizzard itself has said it’s targeting a 2023 release date for D4, nothing more specific has been announced. That, of course, sends dataminers and rumor mongers into a flurry of activity. This weekend, two sites published their thoughts about the Diablo IV release date.
First up, the XboxEra podcast came out with the suggestion that Blizzard could be launching the keenly anticipated ARPG as early as April 2023. Further, the team feels that pre-orders could be announced and open during this year’s The Game Awards in December. It’s likely that several versions will be revealed including Standard and Collector’s Editions.
Windows Central took the lead from the podcast and had this to say, “We can also tentatively corroborate the April 2023 launch window via our own proven sources, alongside some other details.”
The Game Awards are in about a month, so time will tell if these rumors are true. In the meantime, keep your eyes locked on Gamespace.com for more information.
