After over half a year on the App Store, Lingo Legend is finally making its way to Android mobile devices. Hyperthought Games announced late last week that the language-learning game would be available on Google Play starting November 29th. According to the dev team, the game makes practice fun and motivating as players work through an RPG game world while learning a new language.
Lingo Legend is a card-battling RPG in which players must build a deck to battle monsters as they explore a vibrant world. In combat, players draw ability cards and must answer language challenges to play them. Completing the challenges isn’t enough, though, players will need to strategize to defeat a host of enemies with strengths, weaknesses, and tactics of their own.
The goal of the game is to keep learners “excited for their next session.” Outside of combat, players can take part in other activities designed to bolster their new language skills. These activities include collecting gear, gathering resources, and customizing their camp. As players learn more languages, the story will expand with new characters and quests.
