EA has announced that a new update has been deployed for EA Sports PGA Tour, bringing FPS improvements and more into the game. PC players can choose from Performance Mode, which allows for 60 FPS, while next-gen players can opt for the Visual Quality setting to toggle between Quality Mode and Performance Mode.
- “Quality Mode” represents the game’s default and original setting, which provides the highest quality visuals at 30 frames per second (FPS).
- “Performance Mode” is an all-new rendering mode that provides smoother camera motion and animation at 60 FPS at the expense of lower resolution and visual fidelity.
In addition to the new visual quality improvements, the team made some changes “under the hood” to prepare for next week’s US Women’s Open. These behind-the-scenes changes support a series of challenges to be released during the tournament at the Pebble Beach Golf Links, both in game and in real life. The tournament runs from July 6-9, 2023.
