eFootball PES 2021 LITE, the newest free to play version of the PES football brand gets on the field as it launches today across PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4.
Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has just blown the starting whistle on a shiny new version of its hit football, or soccer, game. The new PES 2021 LITE instalment is a free to play version of the current PES but with some obvious changes. PES 2021 LITE includes many of the sporting highlights that we’ve come to expect from Konami’s football franchise and also includes full access to the myClub and Matchday modes, giving free to play gamers access to play against paying players in the eFootball.Open tournament.
The myClub mode in this version of PES allows players to build their very own dream team that suits their personal playstyle. Players who jump in can train their rookies into superstars, or sign Legends and other powerful footballers to boost their chances of success. This should help you build a fully-fledged squad capable of going toe to toe with the best in Matchday, the home of eFootball.Open. Like ladder matches in other more MOBA focused PvP games, this competitive league even provides an entry into a pro tier after enough progression.
Of course, this isn’t all that the free version of PES is offering, there are some restrictions and a bunch of other game modes available, that we’ve listed below:
Modes available:
Kickoff (Offline) | Local Match, Co-op & Training (Skills Training)
myClub
eFootball | Matchday & Online Tournament (limited to specific tournaments)
Edit Mode (PS4 and PC Steam only)
Clubs available in Kickoff Mode (Local Match & Co-op):
FC Barcelona
FC Bayern
Juventus
Manchester United
Arsenal
NOTE: All other modes allow you to use the same clubs as the full version of the game
As you’d expect, PES 2021 LITE is free to download now and includes extra in-game purchases on PS4, Xbox One and PC Steam. It is fully backwards compatible on both Xbox Series X|S and Playstation 5, just in case you actually managed to grab one. You can find out more about the free kickabout over on the official website now.
