Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds, the mostly mobile follow up to the highly regarded Level-5 adventure title, is about to put the throne on the line with a bunch of new updates.
Fight for the Throne and Capital Kingdom signifies a whole new set of possibilities in this on the go kingdom builder. Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds now has new battles, pets, play modes, and rewards, even if it is dropping these free extras just in time for the Tower of Fantasy launch.
In Fight for the Throne, players piecing together their own kingdom will fight it out to be the top tier territory on their server. Four players can drag their subjects into battle as they attempt to bring a powerful dragon to their base. By stepping up, players will need to each a specific score and implement unique strategies to overpower and subvert their opponents. The winner, of course, becomes a “Capital Kingdom” on the server and will receive honor and rewards for their efforts. This includes a Kingdom Skin (Kingdom decorative element) and costume for the ruler of said location,
Alongside the PvP battles, this new update also drops pets into the game. Distinct from familiars, these playful companions follow the player and provide added fun and collectability to the game’s overall experience. There’s also a brand new paly mode, as well as a bunch of in game events too:
• ‘Fight for the Throne’ Opening Event: A newly added Cheer feature allows players to cheer kingdoms, joining the fight. Players who use this feature during a specific cheering period will receive a 4★ Decoration Chest.
• Cooking Competition Episode Eve Event: Based on mission points, players can obtain the 4★ Sore Boar Familiar and various power up materials. Mission Points can be earned by completing various missions such as Cook in the Kingdom and Conquest Missions.
• Celebration Event for ‘Capital Kingdom’ update: New daily missions will be available across a 7 day period including Missions Use HP Potion, Defeat World Boss and more. Players will receive Power Up Materials and chances to win a 4★ Weapon Bundle Chest, which provides a variety of 4★ weapons.
