If you enjoy fart jokes or hearing someone say the word ‘poop’ makes you chuckle, take note – Jago Studios announced on Tuesday that it is developing a collectable card game based on the punfully disgusting Garbage Pail Kids. With 600 cards released by The Topps Company in the ’80s and hundreds more in new series introduced since 2003, it would be wise to start saving your lunch money now to ensure you have a complete arsenal of politically incorrect ammunition to bring to the table digital battlefield.
“Garbage Pail Kids are icons of the ‘80s and a mobile card battler featuring their freaky antics is a natural expansion for the infamous and beloved brand,” said Stuart Drexler, Jago Studios Founder and Chief Executive Officer. “We are thrilled to be working with Topps and look forward to bringing these memorable characters to life in a new way fans can interact with, directly on their mobile devices.”
Currently, in private beta, the untitled GPK game will be free to play worldwide through the App Store and Google Play. Hopefully, this extension of the Garbage Pail Kids franchise will fare better than The Garbage Pail Movie (0% score on Rotten Tomatoes), or the never-aired-in-the-US TV series.
