Developer HoYoverse shared the character teaser for the latest 5-star character joining the roster of Genshin Impact in Version 3.4. Give it up for the Dendro sword-user Alhaitham, the current scribe of the Sumeru Akademiya, a man endowed with extraordinary intelligence and talent. He lives free — free from the searching eyes of ordinary people, anyway.
“Alhaitham never once believed that referencing records written in all languages would help one gain a comprehensive understanding of the world. However, this doesn’t mean that he stops his contemplation, for a silent record is not the end of the search for truth, but a method to raise questions.”
According to the official site, Alhaitham is a Dendro DPS character that uses Chisel-Light Mirrors in combat. He dashes forward when using his Elemental Skill and generates Chisel-Light Mirrors. While the Chisel-Light Mirrors persist, Alhaitham will obtain a Dendro Infusion. When his attacks hit opponents, Chisel-Light Mirrors will unleash a coordinated attack, dealing AoE Dendro Damage.
Alhaitham’s Elemental Burst creates a Particular Binding Field that deals multiple instances of AoE Dendro Damage. All existing Chisel-Light Mirrors will be consumed to increase the number Damage instances dealt.
In addition to Alhaitham, Version 3.4 will be adding a new Dendro spear-user Yaoyao. She will be among the 4-star characters available for free during the Lantern Rite event.
