The developers of anime action-adventure Genshin Impact held the special program dedicated to the arrival of game version 3.4 that will bring along new region, new characters Alhaitham and Yaoyao, a variety of events including the Lantern Rite, new skins for Lisa and Ayaka and much more.
First things first, during the livestream, the developers have announced character banners for version 3.4. In the first phase, players can look forward to the new Dendro 5-star sword-user Alhaitham as well as everyone’s favorite Yaksha Xiao making a rerun. Alongside them, players will get to see the new Dendro 4-star polearm user Yaoyao and her cute bunny Yuegui. The weapon banner will feature Alhaitham’s signature sword Light of Foliar Sanction.
Alhaitham has been instrumental to the rescue of Sumeru’s Archon and acted as strategist for our group of characters. His cool, rational side and sharp mind kept the momentum going until the victory over Sages was assured. On the other hand, Yaoyao is the youngest disciple of Madame Ping, she takes care of her other seniors like an elder sister – prime example being everyone favorite chef Xiangling as well as Shenhe and Ganyu.
Meanwhile, the second phase of version 3.4 marks the long-awaited rerun for 5-star Pyro polearm-user Hu Tao and Hydro archer Yelan. The weapon banner will feature their respective signature weapons: Staff of Homa (polearm) and Aqua Simulacra (Bow).
Stay tuned for more information about the featured 4-star characters and weapons closer to the release of the update on January 18th.
Genshin Impact is bringing forth the expansion to the desert region of Sumeru with the Desert of Hadramaveth. Legend has it that between the countless scimitar-shaped ravines that cut across the desert plain, a lost city of old lies hidden with a wandering tribe seeking refuge in its ruins. Perhaps among the incessant sandstorms that seem to erode all things encompassed by history, a story lost in time awaits to be uncovered…
Players will join forces with Jeht to find answers to their questions and, perhaps, seek out the Eternal Oasis built by King Deshret in honor of the Goddess of Flowers. On this journey, players will run into new boss Setekh Wenut. Legend has it that in the distant past, the scorching desert was once home to fragrant flowers and giant trees, and was inhabited by countless birds and beasts.
Legend also has it that the only ones who remember it are the blind predators respectfully and fearfully referred to as “Wenut”.
In addition to the new region, version 3.4 will introduce a great variety of events – and an even greater variety of rewards! Players can look forward to free wishes, a heap of primogems, character level up materials, weapon enhancement materials, hero’s wit pages, two new skins and much more. Let’s look at it a bit closer.
The main event of Genshin Impact Version 3.4 is, undoubtedly, the Lantern Rite that will once again grace the streets of Liyue and invite visitors from far and wide for some holiday cheer. In addition to the Liyue cast, players will be able to run into a certain bard from Mondstadt that couldn’t stand to miss out the music festival!
Don’t miss out on the login event held during the Lantern Rite to grab 10 extra Intertwined Fates. This promotion is time-limited and will be running between January 19th and February 3rd, so don’t miss out!
Additionally, Fortuitous Invitation is making a come-back. During the Lantern Rite, you can invite a 4-star character from Liyue to join your party. You can choose between Beidou, Chongyun, Ningguang, Xiangling, Xinyan, Xingqiu, Yanfei, Yunjin and the newcomer Yaoyao. Time to get some Constellations or missing characters!
But even outside of the Lantern Rite, there is still plenty to do in terms of events!
- Almighty Arataki Extraordinary and Exhilarating Extreme Beetle Brawl – In exceptional spirits, you and Paimon return to Inazuma, only to run into the Arataki Gang, who greeted you with hands clasped and expressions grinning. They seem to be scheming to deal with a mighty foe…
- Warrior’s Spirit – The capacity to bear the weight of charity and mercy; the capability to wield both blade and might. Such is the first precept of the Warrior’s Spirit. Yet, with the shifting of ages, past and present have begun to drift. In the same fashion, the Warrior’s Spirit event of today bears changes as well…
- Overflowing Mastery – the wisdom of the land has been concentrated within Domains of late… Use the power of Original Resin to cause the silver tree to bloom and receive its noble instruction.
- Lisa (4-star Electro Catalyst) and Ayaka (5-star Cryo Sword) will get new skins during Version 3.4. Lisa’s skin can be obtained from the respective event and is reminiscent of her time in Sumeru.
