The THQ Nordic line-up for this year’s Gamescom just got even more interesting with the announcement of a new 3D adventure game. Coming from Uprising Studios and heading straight to PC, this adventure will challenge players to explore a magical world when Scarf arrives winter 2018/2019.
Born in an unknown place and surrounded by other souls, the game’s central character must weave its way through a gorgeous looking environment. Players guiding Hyke through this adventure will find a diverse range of rich environments, puzzles to solve, and challenges to meet. Aiding the game’s protagonist in this quest is a polymorphic scarf that trails behind the tiny white character. This incredible piece of clothing can shapeshift into various objects, allowing Hyke to get past puzzles and progress through the world.
Titles like Rime and HoB have shown how great narrative stories can affect us without the need to indulge in text. Sweeping scores and character reactions are enough to move even the strongest heartstrings and Scarf continues this tradition. This game’s narrative promises deep moments of introspection and manic tests of skill to boot. We don’t have a huge amount of additional detail about Scarf but you can find the announcement trailer below. Keep an eye out on Gamespace for our Gamescom coverage of this charming looking title.
