The PlayStation Youtube channel has been updated with a new State of Play story trailer for God of War: Ragnarök, the upcoming installment in the God of War action series and the sequel to the adventures of Kratos and his son Atreus.
The events of the game take place three years after those of its predecessor. Fembulwinter, the apocalyptic great winter spanning three years, is well underway which means the arrival of Ragnarök – the upcoming demise of the Norse gods and the world alike. Kratos and Atreus must journey to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers as Asgardian forces prepare for a prophesied battle that will end the world.
Witness the changing dynamic of their relationship as they prepare for war; Atreus hungers for knowledge to help him grasp the prophecy of “Loki”, as Kratos struggles to free himself from the past and be the father his son needs. All the while, the eyes of Asgard watch their every move…
