Warner Bros. Games and DC have announced the addition of two new co-op modes in Gotham Knights. Players can now take on 4-player Heroic Assault mode and 2-player Showdown mode. This free update is for all players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
To give players a peek into how the new content plays, the development team sent out an all-new trailer.
Heroic Assault allows up to four players to work cooperatively together online. The group will head beneath Gotham City to face off against enemies and complete various challenges in 30 floors of hardcore action. A new enemy has emerged in the form of a “highly advanced alien lifeform” called Starro, the Conqueror. Players will also run into a more familiar foe, Man-Bat, who is mind-controlled by Starro.
Showdown involves two players confronting some of the game’s main Super-Villains. These include Mr. Freeze, Harley Quinn, Clayface, and Talia al Ghul. Duos lucky enough to defeat these formidable enemies will earn legendary gear blueprints, a unique suit, and Batcycle colorways for each enemy taken down.
