GTA Online's Next Big Update is San Andreas Mercenaries

Rockstar Games has announced that the next big update to GTA Online is called San Andreas Mercenaries. It’s coming a lot sooner than anyone expected too. Players can tackle tons of new gameplay starting Tuesday, June 13th. The epic adventures will have players take to the streets, seas, and skies of Los Santos. The update also marks the addition of player-requested gameplay improvements, custom description tags for garages, and much more.

It’s no secret Merryweather Security are as corrupt as everyone else in this town — but now there’s talk on the street that these shady contract killers are scaling up and squeezing out any rogue competition across Southern San Andreas. For freelance professionals in the criminal underground, this could be the last straw — it’s time to hit them where it hurts.

Players will visit with ace pilot Charlie Reed who’s putting together a group of aviators and guns-for-hire. This elite bunch is known as the Los Santos Angels and they’re out to take on private work, stealing sensitive data from server farms, conducting raids, and more.

The Mammoth Avenger will become a gigantic Operations Terminal. Players will embark on new adventures from this hub including running contraband and other spontaneous opportunities. The name of the game is cash and commodities from the most lucrative “citizens” of Los Santos.

Player-requested features

  • When calling Mors Mutual Insurance, you’ll be able to claim all destroyed vehicles at once.
  • An alternate sprint control option (hold to sprint) will be added to the Settings Menu.
  • Custom description tags for garages to help quickly locate your favorite rides.
  • The Willard Eudora and Albany Classique Broadway will become eligible for Taxi Work when using Taxi Liveries.
  • Updates to the Creator to incorporate additional props and weather options, including snow.

The new content will be available starting June 13th on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbos Series X/S, and PC.
