Guild Wars 2: End Of Dragons Launch Date Revealed

Book your time off, cancel work, and set those alarms. We now know the Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons launch date.

ArenaNet has confirmed that the much anticipated Guild Wars2 End of Dragons expansion is set to launch on 28 February 2022, meaning players eager to get into Cantha will have just a few weeks to get everything in order before hitting new shores. While we’ve known that the latest major instalment in this MMO franchise was due to release this month, thanks to a previous ArenaNet blog post, we didn’t have an official circle on the calendar until today.

Alongside the final release date, the team behind this huge new adventure has released a trailer giving us a glimpse of the expansion’s new features. While we’ve had an opportunity to get hands on with the upcoming Elite Specializations and even got to sample some of the new Strike Missions, the trailer covers a huge variety of these, from skiffs to turtles, and another new look at the world of Cantha.

While the release date for Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons might seem to push it right until the very last moment in February, this is a studio that launched us into core Tyria with the mantra, ‘when it’s ready. Waiting is something long term aficionados of Guild Wars 2 have become pretty used to. For our part, we can’t wait to get to jump back onto the back of the game’s first 2 player mount and stride across the Jade Sea, try out the new guild hall, and meet the challenges that await. Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons is the 3rd expansion to this mainstay of the MMO genre and will invite players to experience an entirely new story spanning an entire continent that introduces new characters to the Guild Wars 2 cast and is set to shine a light on some of the oldest enigmas around Tyria’s elder dragons. Anybody who is gearing up but hasn’t purchased the game can find out more on the official Guild Wars 2 website and pick up the expansion from £25.99 or local equivalent.
