Developer HoYoverse held the Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.4 special program to bring players up to speed on all the new goodies arriving in the game. Titled Jolted Awake From a Winter Dream, the update introduces new characters, new weapons, new events and more! Let’s dive in to see everything that awaits you after October 11th.
Starting with the most important: character banners! Unlike the previous versions of the game, Version 1.4 will see three 5-star banners running over its course. Those will feature two new 5-stars Jingliu (Ice Destruction) and Topaz (Fire Hunt) as well as the rerun of fan-favorite character.
Seele (Quantum Hunt) unexpectedly gets her turn again. It’s time to disappear among the sea of butterflies! If you’ve missed picking her up for mono-Quantum last time, you are in luck. Second phase will also see the addition of a new 4-star character, Guinaifen (Fire Nihility)!
If you’d like to sneak a peek a bit further, HoYoverse already revealed the characters to arrive in future Version 1.5. Additionally, HoYoverse revealed that Version 1.4 will be one week shorter than usual and will only last for 5 weeks, coming to a close on November 15th. Stay tuned for more info.

Version 1.4 Events & Additions Include
- Trailblaze Continuance – Future Market. On the eve of Belobog’s Soulwarm Festival, a messenger from the IPC arrives on Jarilo-VI.
- Jingliu Companion Mission – Clouds Leave No Trace. An anonymous letter silently appears on the Express. It seems an unexpected visitor has extended and invitation, and is looking to connect with Dan Heng. High-Cloud Quintet lore incoming!
- New Area: Old Weapon Testing Ground, Pillars of Creation
- New Enemies: Senior Staff: Team Leader, Grunt: Field Personnel, Grunt: Security Personnel
- Aetherium Wars event – the most influential online gaming brand in the universe is holding an offline tournament on Jarilo-VI. Complete for the championship with your Aether Spirit companions!
- Realm of the Strange – while the event is active, Caverns of Corrosion will yield double rewards.
- Planar Fissure – double Planar Ornament drops from the Simulated Universe.
- Gift of Odyssey – check-in for a total of 7 days during the event to get Star Rail Special Pass x10.
