The Jingle Jam charity event has made a stunning £25 Million for a range of charities since it kicked off in 2011.

Creator, fans, and games companies from across the internet have just wrapped up another year of the recently revealed 2023 iteration of Jingle Jam. The mix of online streaming, silly games, and discount game bundles gathered over 60,000 donations and clocked up a cool £2.7 Million for charity this round. That means that supporters have raised a huge £25 Million for good causes.

While it might not match the amount people are willing to throw at digital spaceships and unlaunched games, the likes of Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), Comic Relief, War Child, CoppaFeel! and more will benefit from the most recent round of generosity. Autistica, Galop, Hello World, Justdiggit, Movember, the RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind People), Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal and Whale and Dolphin Conservation are also included in a diverse range of causes that benefit from this annual event.

Founded by Lewis and Simon of the Yogscast back in 2011 to raise money for Oxfam, Jingle Jam has grown significantly in size and momentum ever since and was established as a fundraising charity in 2022.

“We’re incredibly proud of the amount of money raised this year and over the past twelve years,” said Lewis. “I want to thank all those who have streamed, danced and played over the years, helping us reach this incredible milestone.”

While the Jingle Jam game bundle isn’t available any more, you can find out more about this event and prepare for the 2024 fun. It might not seem all that newsworthy to be reporting a number, but in a year that’s ben pretty rough for the people that make games, it’s wonderful to know that it can still do some good Find out more about the jingle jam charity shenanigans on the official website now.
