Kingsgrave Invites Players to Try Out a Moody RPG Inspired by the Classics

Egg or Chicken Games and Alawar have announced the release date for their upcoming “gloomy” RPG Kingsgrave. Players can pick up a copy for PC via Steam starting April 17th. In the meantime, however, a demo has also been released that gives players a chance to take a sneak peek at what the game is all about. Said to be inspired by the 2D classics of your, payers will “bring to life the soul-stirring adventure of a long-dead monarch.”

To achieve this, we reimagined old gameplay mechanics, visuals, and gameplay, creating a sense of familiarity for players to enjoy a fresh and positive gaming experience while exploring the game’s world and lore.” said Producer Ivan Tesla.

As a long dead king, players will wake from the sleep of death when the land and its people cry out when a disease strikes the kingdom. The lands are poisoned, people have abandoned their homes, and monsters have taken over. It’s up to yesterday’s king to unite the people to fight back against the darkness and reclaim prosperity.
