Stellarons in Your Eyeballs and Honkai Star Rail on the Apple Vision Pro

Star Rail on the Apple Vision

HoYoverse has announced that players will be able to experience Honkai Star Rail on the Apple Vision Pro.

Apple’s Augmented Reality Headset will soon get the one thing we’ve always wanted from a top-of-the-line AR experience. Gacha pulls beamed right into our eyeballs! HoYoverse has announced that Honkai Star Rail will allow players to get up close and personal with their favorite pulls, when they bring this wildly successful free to play adventure to Apple’s new headset.

The news that this platform will get a version of Honkai Star Rail might have slipped by you, with all the hype about a brand-new version of the game, and a new character, about to drop. This unexpected announcement hit Honkai’s social media accounts over the weekend, but there isn’t a huge amount of detail on it yet. While plenty of fans have been enthusiastic about the prospect of seeing their waifus in a different light, we aren’t expecting this to be a full-on VR endeavour.

Many of the apps and games that are due to land on the new hardware are considered spatial games rather than fully fledged VR experiences. This means the either tend to mix in elements of the real world, like board games, or exist on an infinite canvas as a 2D display. With the announcement only confirming the game’s ‘compatibility’  we can at least surmise that fans will be able to keep an eye on combat while working in another app. We also don’t know when Honkai Star Rail on the Apple Vision Pro will launch. As it is, maybe I’ll just find a bigger monitor to explore Penacony or pull for Black Swan and wait for the price to come down. You can check out more about tomorrow’s version 2.0 launch over at the official website now.

Additionally, the devs have revealed that Honkai: Star Rail surpassed 100 million downloads across all platforms since its release on April 26th, 2023.

After an early indoctrination into PC gaming, years adrift on the unwashed internet, running a successful guild, and testing video games, I turned my hand to writing about them. Now, you will find me squawking across a multitude of sites and even getting to play games now and then
