Legends of Runeterra 2023 Roadmap Arrives -

Riot just unfurled the Legends of Runeterra 2023 Roadmap, giving us a look at what to expect in the next 12 months of content.

Riot’s own free to play deck builder, Legends of Runeterra, just revealed a plan for the upcoming 12 months. The team behind the League of Legends spin-off has dropped a roadmap that details the content plans for the remainder of 2023. While players can continue to log in and battle their way up the ladder across PC, iOS, and Android, there are plenty of plans to keep things interesting.

Legends of Runeterra 2023 Roadmap DETAILS

Headlining the new rollout is a brand new competitive structure to the current play modes. While we have a promise that there will be changes incoming, Riot won’t reveal more until tomorrow. We will have to wait and see if this means the traditional Ranked mode continues as normal or if things will pivot more towards seasons and community tournaments instead.

There might not be tons of detail on the player vs player element of Runeterra but we do know that this year heralds a ton of content. Coming soon, the Path of Champions is getting new items, champions, and changes to relics. This should switch up the game and bring some exclusive new playable characters throughout Runterra. The new Standard Format game mode will mean the current equivalent will soon be known as Eternal mode.

Further out, Riot is working on a bunch of upcoming additions. Patching and changes are moving to a quarterly release cycle. From our perspective, this should mean changes are more considered and impactful. New content is always a demand, and that means expansions, new loot, and potentially some familiar faces popping in to visit Runeterra. This isn’t even dipping into the balance changes, variety card sets, or creative possibilities that the team is exploring.

The best way to get deep dive into Riot’s year ahead is to check out the expanded Legends of Runeterra 2023 Roadmap and developer video on the official website now , or go give your feedback on the subreddit.
